1 Year - 10 Years Old

1 on 1 Private Instruction

A consecutive program of 4 days a week 15 minutes per day dedicated in teaching your keiki to be safe and comfortable in the water.

2 Week Program: 15 Minutes, Mon - Thurs (8 Sessions)

Or

4 Week Program: 15 Minutes, Everyday Mon - Thurs (16 Sessions)

In our 1-on-1 skills lessons, we provide consecutive daily individual instruction to help your child learn the basics of water safety, and aquatic boundaries and get themselves to safety or if capable – out of a body of water.

These lessons provide a supportive and welcoming environment for learners of all capabilities to build confidence in the water.

What may start with water hesitation at first will conclude with foundational skills and awareness by the end of the program.

We split the skills into age-based specific programs, which are designed to meet your child where their needs are. These programs are designed to stack, so join us in the program suited to your child’s age or needs and then come back into another program when they are ready to work on the next skill set.

Please note! These programs are not a one-and-done affair, we strongly recommend that you transition into our maintenance program following each skills program so we can keep your keiki’s skills fresh, work out any bad habits that creep in, and identify when they are ready to upskill.

We offer two lengths of programs. The 8 Lesson Skills program objectives are listed below but do not cover learning how to roll over and float to get air. If you wish to have your child learn to rotate to float and flip over back to swim, please select the 16 Lesson program when booking.

6 Months - 2 Year Old (4 Week Program)

3 Year Old-6 years old (2 Week Program)

7 Year Old - 10 Year Old (2 Week Program)

In Safety Skill Clinic, keiki will be working toward learning the following skills:

• Comfort in going underwater
• Confidently jumping into the pool
• Orient themselves in the water and learn to reach up and grab
the pool edge
• Crab walks along the wall to the stairs or swims to the stairs to
climb out
• Pull themselves out of the pool and onto the edge
• Swim approx 6’ across the pool
• Controlling underwater buoyancy
• Dive underwater unassisted
• Working on deep-water diving
• Swim short distances without breaking streamline
• Correct arm position
• Correct body posture
• Diving form and posture
• Fundamentals of stroke development
